A Community Wh00 Cares, Starts with You!
The BCA Hub Youth & Resource Center is a grassroots SELF-FUNDED 501(C)3 nonprofit organization founded by Tricia Ponicki.
The Hub is 100% VOLUNTEER-BASED, KID-LEAD, and ADULT SUPERVISED.
Our Lead Hub Angel
The BCA Hub was founded in 2018 by Tricia Ponicki, and she is a valuable member of the communities she serves throughout Illinois and beyond State Lines.
Before The Hub was hatched in 2018, Tricia was well-known as Ponicki’s Angels for 16 years. Tricia has put over 50,000 volunteer hours into her missions for nearly 20 years; she was awarded the Point of Light National Volunteer in 2019 and The Thermos Brands Unsung Heroin in 2015. She is also a Girl Scout Leader, a CCD teacher for the past 18 years, School Board Member, and Realtor. For almost 20 years, Tricia has been a Passionate and One Dedicated Advocate for our Houseless Men, Women, Children, Domestic Violence Victims, the Elderly, the Physically Challenged, and the Sick.
A Little More Magical Information About Mrs. Ponicki- If you haven't already met her, prepare for a quick charge of good vibes and high energy! Mrs. Ponicki is a mother to 4 incredible kids of all age groups and has taught children and young adults for over 18 years. She is certified to work with children and adults in many areas and has her monthly background checks through the Red Cross, FEMA, and Points of Light. Her passion for seeing children accept themselves for who they are and believe in themselves first is magical. Mrs. Ponicki is a little boho-chic woman with big dreams and wildly creative with a whimsical imagination. We believe she is filled with tons of pixie dust, and yes, she is extremely hard to catch and keep up with. Still, when you meet her, she is like pure sunshine on the cloudiest days, so be sure to enjoy her presence, and soak up her sunshine, because she is one Awesome Woman who leaves a little sparkle of hope in everyone's eyes. Mrs. Ponicki is definitely one Hub Angel you truly want to know and love.
We Are Here Because We give a Hoot
"Those in need" is so often misunderstood. So many people and families with children who seek our services have a house, a car, and a job; however, food and other necessities are insecure because other bills or life situations take priority. Our mission as Hub Angels is to help ANYONE in need and do it with unconditional love, compassion, and positive vibes. EVERYONE is welcome at The Hub, no matter their current life situation. If there is a need, our number one goal is to fill that need. Suppose the requested assistance is beyond the services we provide. We will always outsource our guests to organizations that can better serve them.
HUB KIDS
The BCA Hub's Youth & Resource Center is Kid Lead and Adult-Supervised. Mrs. Ponicki believes that giving a child (at any age) the ability to be creative, imaginative, and expressive with their thoughts and passions without discouragement will build their confidence and create the opportunity to find their inner talents, desires, and adventures in life. In addition, teaching these skills at a young age will make the children feel involved, empowered, part of a team, and to some aspect, part of a loving family.
At The Hub, Tricia, is providing the children the opportunity to learn their leadership skills, job skills, life skills that intern will build a future full of Adults who will continue their missions to positively impact the next generation and help break the cycle of homelessness, drop-outs, and downward endings.
Allowing the Hub Kids to create and lead their projects allows our youth to learn these leadership skills, build confidence, understand what it means to be a part of team, and become a valuable asset to the future.
The hub’s Priorities
The number one priority is always keeping the children and community members the main focus of all our missions.
Violence. Poverty. Homelessness.
These Are Real Problems Affecting
Our Youth & Families In Our Communities.
The Hub Angel's goal is to be there—wherever and whenever we are needed most, in the midst of whatever someone is going through. To compassionately offer the encouragement and resources they need to thrive.
Since 2018, The BCA HUB has offered hope and opportunity to all community members throughout Illinois, no matter their age. Thousands of youth, families, and individuals have found their community and healing through The BCA HUB Youth & Resource Programs. We call this our Good Vibe Tribe. The BCA Hub provides all resources, services, activities, and programs to youth 0-25years old, families, senior citizens, and displaced individuals without regard to religious beliefs, race, age, color, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, identity, or disability.
Building Our Future On Positive Vibes:
Our goal is to open a full-service center that can provide many different resources to the children and the community members we serve year-round. We are currently planning our Community Coffee House Youth & Resource Center with a Fun, Funky & Delicious Vibe. It will offer the Youth and Members of the Community the opportunity to either sit back and relax, engage in like-minded activities, to open doors of opportunity by learning the proper job and life skills; it will also serve the purpose of a Clothes Closet, Food Pantry, and the Youth Center filled with Imagination, Wonder, and Creativity. Until we can get enough funding to open our first Community Coffee House, we are in an office space in Burbank, Illinois, hosting our events outside, a Free clothes closet and food pantry, toiletries, and giving out diapers and formula year-round.
