Our Vision
Our vision is to cultivate a cohesive national network that equips children impacted by disasters and crises with the necessary tools and support to foster positive coping mechanisms and resilience.
This vision becomes a reality through the promotion of unity via culturally diverse and engaging events and educational activities tailored for our youth and families. We are committed to inclusivity, ensuring that individuals of all ethnicities feel welcome and supported.
Purpose:
After 19 years of Mrs. Ponicki being an Advocate for Homeless Women and Children and other unique missions starting as far back as 2001 and then known as Ponicki's Angels, she has continued her life journey, passion, and calling to help all those in need. Mrs. Ponicki wanted to create a space for all of those in need of a little extra "Hub Love" and became a "Gap Filler" and created our "Hub Angels" roles to make sure that no child, family, displaced man, woman, or elderly would be forgotten due to their current life situation.
The BCA Hub Youth & Resource Center was established in 2018 to assist youth across America to become well-rounded and successful adults.
Building Our Future on Positive Vibes
We aim to open a full-service center that provides various resources to the children and community members we serve year-round. We are currently planning our Community Coffee House Youth & Resource Center, which is envisioned with a fun, funky, and delicious vibe. This center will offer youth and community members a space to relax, engage in like-minded activities, and open doors of opportunity by learning essential job and life skills. Additionally, it will house a Clothes Closet, Food Pantry, and a Youth Center brimming with imagination, wonder, and creativity.
Beautiful Disaster Emergency Response Team Integration
We proudly integrate the Beautiful Disaster Emergency Response Team into our mission. This dedicated team enhances our ability to address and manage emergencies with efficiency and empathy, ensuring that our community is supported before, during, and after any disaster.
Our approach focuses on three critical phases of emergency response:
1. Preparedness: We equip our community with the knowledge and tools to anticipate and prepare for emergencies. This includes educational programs, emergency planning workshops, and resource distribution to ensure everyone is ready for potential crises.
2. Response: Our Beautiful Disaster Emergency Response Team swiftly provides immediate assistance during an emergency. Our team is on the ground, offering essential supplies, shelter, medical care, and emotional support to those affected, ensuring their safety and well-being.
3. Recovery: We help individuals and families rebuild their lives after an emergency. Our recovery programs include ongoing support services, counseling, job training, and housing assistance to promote long-term stability and resilience.
We operate from an office space in Burbank, Illinois, and Port Richey, Florida, until we secure enough funding to open our first Community Coffee House. We host outdoor events and provide a free Clothes Closet, Food Pantry, toiletries, diapers, and formula year-round.
By building our future on positive vibes and integrating the Beautiful Disaster Emergency Response Team, we aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment that empowers our community and fosters growth, creativity, and resilience.
